*******NOTE ON 2010 WEDDINGS*******
adam and i have decided not to accept commissions for 2010 weddings as we will focus on trying to start a family.  we will continue to accept portrait bookings, however.  so definitely contact us for st. louis day after, family, children's, maternity, senior and boudoir photography!

fortunately, there are lots of amazing shooters in town.  click here for our 2010 st. louis wedding photographer recommendations.

i've been toying with the idea of creating a registry for wedding photography collections.

help me decide if it's something i should pursue by casting your anonymous vote!

i'm still hammering out details, but the idea is that prior to your final balance being due (two weeks before the big day), friends and family members could make a contribution toward the collection you selected.  your final invoice would reflect whatever remains.  though you would know in advance that people contributed, you wouldn't know who until the wedding at which point guests could present a giftbox indicating that they made a contribution. what do you think?

Caitlin:

I have a friend who does this, and it works like a charm! I would like to have something like this set up myself...but first I would have to figure out the best way to do it - any suggestions?

hi caitlin! i'm still brainstorming, but i posted a thread about it on DWF. people have had mixed results, but i think i will give it a try.

i was thinking about just having couples include our website on the their registry list and guests can contact us to let us know they are interested. from there, i can post an invoice for the desired amount in our online shopping cart. that amount will be applied to the balance due. then i will send the guest a boxed gift certificate to present to the couple on the wedding day. and that's as far as i've gotten. :-)
