i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for next week's grand opening of the map room, right here in benton park. i am especially excited about the fact they they call themselves "bright green" and they are within walking distance. go check them out next saturday for their grand opening!!
i am in LOVE with this video and song. so simple, yet so cleverly beautiful. and a pretty amazing lesson in the viral nature of the web.
FREAKING love that! I thought it was funny... but also amazing and creative! Reminds me of a slideshow a classmate of mine did in school. So great.

yeah! if you're not already familiar with weddingwire, it's a great planning resource. we're thrilled to have been selected for a bride's choice award. 2009 is off to a great start!
Congratulations! What a wonderful award and write up for a truly talented duo!
(02.04.09)I totally agree with you Becca. Where else can you get referrals from other vendors about vendors. The listing provides a quorum to show our work and services.
Congratulations on the Bride's Choice award!!

this is totally boring and completely off-topic, but i don't want anyone else to have this headache...
i just spent the last hour or so trying to get rid of an annoying popup message trying to get me to buy scam anti-virus protection. i suspect it came from an email i just received from someone i had previously received an inquiry from that happened to go to a few other area photographers, too. i don't want to reopen the email for fear of picking up the nasty virus again, so hopefully you guys know who you are and hopefully you use macs and aren't affected by this. unfortunately i don't remember who else received it.
so, if this looks familiar...
click here for directions on how to remove it. you will have to reboot in safe mode and then go to your control panel/folder options and show hidden folders. without doing that i wasn't able to delete the .exe file mentioned in the forum.
so adam and i failed in our mission to buy all of our christmas gifts last year (wow, makes it feel sooooooo far away now) on etsy.
every time i think about birthday/baby/whatever gifts, i struggle to find/remember a local, indie shop with super cool stuff. there are places here and there that i drive by, think to myself, "self, i should remember this place for the next birthday-baby-whatever-gift," and i quickly forget.
though st. louis handmade is not a brick-and-mortar storefront, it does,at least, have a collection of artists in one place. so, i am dedicating this blog post to myself so that i may remember this fabulous resource next time i am in the market for something handmade and local.
I've been visiting this site for the last month or so... makes me wish I had more dough! :(
(01.31.09)Thank you so much for visiting St. Louis Handmade and sharing about us! We are having a great time seeing all of the amazing works by St. Louis' amazing artists.

Must visit immediately... oh wait, they're not open yet. Uh oh.
