pardon another contest interruption, but yummy images are involved.
last weekend, my favorite red-headed photographer friend extraordinaire, michelle ross of under grace photography, organized a little fashion shoot, a.k.a. "trash the dress." about a dozen crazy photographers descended upon the city and wreaked havoc. not really. there were a dozen of us, but we didn't really wreak havoc, though at times, we did draw a large crowd.
we started off at the world's fair pavilion in forest park and then moved to the beautiful concordia seminary and finally settled in the central west end.
keep in mind the dress doesn't always get trashed. it's sometimes a bit of a misnomer. it's a time to go out for an edgy fashion shoot after your wedding when you're no longer worried about keeping your gown spotless.
thanks to beth and griffin for being such knock-out models. usually photographers don't like being on the other side of the camera, but beth was amazing. so natural, so comfortable.

I love this shoot! I saw Michelle's shots last night, and it's so cool to compare the different points of view! I love the shots in the doorway with the moody lighting, and your fountain ones are awesome!!!! Silhouetting is my favorite thing lately...
(07.17.08)so - how does one become one of the cool kids who get to go on fieldtrips like these??!?!
(07.17.08)Glad I didn't do any waterworks for our shoot...though I would not have been surprised if you managed to convince me...good stuff!
(07.17.08)I've been seeing images from the shoot pop up all over everyone's blogs. I wish I could have made this one, it looked like a lot of fun. Out of everyone's images I've seen so far, I like yours the best by far. Especially the first four.
